One of the first luxury resorts in Madagascar that I want to talk about is Andilana Beach Resort – a 4* resort in Nosy Be. I’ve always heard about this one, and to be honest it was the only one that I knew till not long ago. Andilana is perfect for couples, families, group of friends and singles – they have everything you need for a complete vacation. Andilana Resort is not only a resort but a whole area that provides you with any kind of entertainment.

Location

Andilana Beach is located on the island of Nosy Be – around 5 miles away from the coast of the main island, Madagascar. It’s surrounded by an archipelago of smaller islands, which you can explore. The resort is situated in the north of the island of Nosy Be, and it has its own private beach.

The Resort

Andilana resort lets you enjoy your holiday in two different ways. The rooms in blocks 100-200 are close to all the hotel services and the swimming pool. While the rooms in blocks 300-400 are more peaceful and quiet. You can choose from the three categories of rooms: classic, family and suite. Plus you can also choose a king-size or queen-size bed. All the rooms are just a few steps from the shore, and each has its own balcony and veranda.

Restaurant & Bar

While you enjoy your holiday here, you don’t need to worry about food. Andilana Beach has so many options for you, with three restaurants and three bars.

The first restaurant is the Ravinala Restaurant with 50 cooks ready to serve you with the most delicious dishes. They have both international dishes and local specialities. For both lunch and dinner they offer an extensive international buffet with more than 50 dishes. They also have home-made Italian dishes like pasta and pizza. Every week they offer different grilled specialities.

The second restaurant is Pily Pily Restaurant, which has an enviable view over Andilana Bay. This restaurant is more intimate compared to the first one, which allows you to enjoy your moment with your loved ones. For dinner they offer varieties of shellfish and local meats.

The last restaurant is the Beach Restaurant, which is obviously on the beach! Here you can enjoy lighter foods, like: mixed salads, pasta and rice salads, fruits, desserts and pizza cooked over a wood fire.

The three bars are: Baobar (open 24/7), the Beach Bar and the Bar inside the Disco. Here you can taste the best cocktails, original blends, fruit smoothies, their coffee and Madagascar’s rum in two flavors (ginger and vanilla).

What You Can Do

Beside enjoying the turquoise water and the soft sand, Andilana has more to offer: The Tropical Park. In this park there are 500 coconut trees, 150 traveller’s palms (Madagascar’s national symbol), Baobab, Mango trees. It is also the house of vanilla orchids, lemon and cotton trees. All those plants create a unique and colorful view, along with a pleasant fragrance.

There’s also a special tree called: The Love Tree – the atmosphere under the tree is magical due to the lanterns.

As I mentioned before, here you will never get bored. They ensure your entertainment with many different activities:

  • Swimming pool
  • Canoeing
  • Beach volleyball
  • Beach tennis
  • Boules courts
  • Diving centre

At the Andilana Beach Resort you can also find an Outlet Fashion Boutique and a Jewelry Shop, a Beauty Salon and professional photographers. You can also treat yourself with a massage at the Spa, and they also have a fitness area.
